IMG_2577.JPG This was a fun trip. About 15 miles total starting at hwy 10 and exiting at hwy 95 in Quartzsite Az. The reason we went is to find the hieroglyphs and the dripping springs water source. We also have recently purchased a tiny home in the area and plan on spending a bunch of time here in the winters. So we are prerunning a bunch of trails to see what the area has to offer.
The first half of this route a decent vehicle with good tires can do up to the downhill into the wash near dripping springs. After that point I would recommend at least 33" tires, rock sliders, and a vehicle not much larger then maybe a Ford Expedition.
We traveled this route in a 4 door Jk on 35" tires and had to backup to make a couple of the corners in the wash. If you choose to continue towards hwy 95 and not return the way you came it gets a bit more interesting. Their is 2 rock ledges that you can go around but the third one you have to drop off it. We did it without touching anything on the bottom of the jeep. We will post more as we explore this amazing area more! If your in the area and would like someone to meet up with or a place to spend the evening let us know. We will be here from the end of Novemember till the middle of march.
