Dexter Axle for M100 Trailer

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I recently picked up a M100 Trailer (I think) and my first mod is to switch over to matching wheel/tire combo to my 4Runner. I'm leaning toward doing this via a new Dexter Axle. I believe I will also need wheel spacers to clear the hub and for the hubcentric design of the Toyota wheels. Anyone else already do this swap to match the 5th Gen 4Runner wheels? Looking for any suggestions. Hoping to start getting this build underway.

Thanks,
Mike

Get a Dexter 3500k 6x5.5 axle and a set of spidertrax spacers and you should be good.

There's a few people out there with the same issue. When you order your axle, specify no camber (unless you want it). We don't put enough weight into these to flatten them or take advantage of the wheels tipped out. Also a good time to change the springs and add shocks. Shocks made mine track better on dirt roads. I use to have go pro footage of before and after, huge difference.
I love my M100

I’ve done it and I concur, get the flat axle. I did get the 5 on 4.5 hubs, (very common) and use 2” spacers that change to 6 on 5.5 to match my LC wheels. If it ever fails and takes the hubs with it, any tractor supply or trailer place can get the 5 on 4.5 quickly if they don’t already stock it. Good luck with your build !
