DD, but I am deployed 5 months a year and my commute is about 2.5 miles now. So, 6k miles in the last year!
Still, I have been extremely tempted to buy a Yamaha WR250R dual sport bike, partially for the neatness, partially for the fun (I grew up on dirt bikes) and partially because it gets 75mpg vs 15-16 haha.
