I had some minor mechanical issues my last time there. I fixed them but to be on the safe side I called the trip early. It leaves a sour taste to not finish my planned route so I am heading back up with the dog and anyone else that wants to join in.

Plan is to drive to bishop on friday, wake up saturday to hit the trail, make it to funnel lake to fish, explore, cook some food and camp. Wake up Sunday and explore some more, maybe hike maybe drive, head down to bakers creek to do some more exploring and camp. Wake up Sunday and head out and back home.

Trail is moderate in difficulty. A steep rocky ascent but nothing to crazy. A bit of lift, decent tires and ideally a low range and you are good to go. I have more gear, more tools and more medical equipment and more camera gear than necessary. Aiming to have a safe and relaxed outing.

Weather was great when I was up there this past weekend. 100 in bishop low 80s up at the flats.

Dog friendly, kid friendly, good food, good trails, good times.
