Is anyone a member of CORVA (California Off Road Vehicle Association)?
corva.org
Wondering if membership is worth the investment per their lobbying. Their site isn't that great but if donations help them keep land accessible for us I'd like to help with that.
I'm a member, and though not in California as much these days, when I am there it is to enjoy the outdoors in one way or another with a vehicle.
I appreciate what
CORVA does, how they do it, and that they regularly inform both their membership and general public of land access issues and of opportunities to be involved. Our country is at its best when we have an informed electorate. CORVA is excellent at ensuring that everyone has the information they need to make informed decisions.
CORVA regularly interacts with local, state, and federal government and land owners on behalf of its membership, and as
@chrispartida mentioned, they manage to do that without becoming overly political.
I think their site is great in that anyone, member or otherwise, can access and download the last
twelve years of their news magazine (free) to see what they've been up to. Interesting to go through past issues to read about concerns, popular activities, and what products were being advertised. They also have an extensive list on their
Resource Page of networking organizations, government websites, and other entities involved in advocacy and public rights.
So, yes, very well worth supporting with a membership for their lobbying efforts
and much more.
