I was wondering which communication means you guys are using when traveling in a group.
Since the mobile network coverage is quiet ok, I thought Zello communication app might be a good option, especially in combination with CB etc. for the areas without network coverage.

What are your thoughts? Any interests in having a Zello group for coordination while on the go?

I hope it’s allowed to post such a Link here....
Check out the Overland Europe channel on Zello.

It looks not bad, will check this out.
We are starting in groups with Whatsapp. But maybe this could be something for driving in a convoy.

Hi Folks,

is anyone having a HAM license here? It seems to me, that getting a HAM license in Europe requires some more effort compared to the US. I've quickly checked the course from DARC (Germany) for getting the class E (CEPT novice) license and the online course takes 20 weeks. So I would expect HAM radio communication is therefore not commonly used in the european overlanding community. Or am I wrong?
