I just got the memo from the bossman, my company is officially closing from Saturday, December 23rd through Monday, January 1st. I see this as a perfect opportunity to plan a little trail run. I don't have a location yet, but I was thinking either upstate NY, Vermont or New Hampshire. I'm from Long Island, and I'm looking for a handful of people who aren't afraid of the cold and possibly some snow to go check out some trails and class 5 roads over winter break (if you have the days off, of course)
I need some ideas as to where to go, so if anyone is on board and has some knowledge of the location of some trails/roads that'd be a huge help.
It's going to be cold, so if it turns into a two or three day trip I'd plan on staying in a hotel/motel at night as I'm not currently set up to camp in the snow/cold weather.
If anyone is as crazy as I am, let start planning something!
