CB group buy

Hello everyone,

In the aftermath of the TRED group buy and our September event in the Netherlands, I saw that a CB or a PMR is for a lot of us still more a "wanting" then an "already having" thing.

I looked a bit around and I'm talking already with a couple of shops if they are willing to help us out on the matter.

The package that is on the table for the moment is:

- President Barry CB
- SIRIO TURBO 2000 PL Antenna
(- optional Antenna mount)
(- optional DIN mount)

The only thing for me to find out now is if someone else would be interested as well.
So please leave a comment if you should want one or multiple!

If you should have non OB friends that want one as well, they are free to hop along since we would only benefit from it.

What's the regular price on a set like this and what's the best way to mount an antenna like That?

I am indeed. You have to calibrate the antenna for good reception but then it’s very reliable. The range depends on the length of the antenna but with 30 cm height you have a good communication in a convoy. With a 1,5 m antenna the range should expand to a few km...

Hey guys, we have this set. It's a President Bill. Very small device and very handy to find a spot for it. We have an antenna with the spool up until the top of it, so we could lower the mount.

Comms are great. We have a radius of around 15 km with a little bit of help. ☺️

It's not so expensive. The cb around 85 euro, the antenna around 45 euro. That's what you need the minimum.

We also bought a speaker , something about 20 euro...

What about your channels? Truckers use 15am for listening. When you make contact the go to a specific channel. I scan most of the time.
