Hi, I live in the upstate of SC and I am looking for a good and free camp spot for our 1st family camping trip for my toddlers birthday. We are looking to camp between the upstate of sc and the GA border. Any insight is appreciated.

Long Bottom Ford on the Chattooga River comes to mind:

As well as Burrells Ford:

I usually look on Google Maps in the area I am looking to explore. It will show most campgrounds and various attractions. If you do make it up on the Chattooga I highly recommend a trip to the Walhalla Fish Hatchery. Kids will love it.
