Buying used: What to look for

Hey guys,
hope all are staying safe.
Looking at some older Land Cruisers and a 2007 FJ Cruiser. Since we're new to 4x4, is there anything special to look for to stay away from potencial trouble and/or headaches. The FJ has about 130k miles and those LC's are closer to 190k miles. I know to look for rust in the undercarriage and other areas, but just not sure on the 4x4 areas. My younger son is a light auto tech and I have an avenue to get the engine checked out.
Or just point me to some research!

A mechanic that specializes in Toyotas will likely know what to look for. Have a pre-purchase inspection done, if you can.
