Gorgeous view! Here's the view from our present campsite this weekend. It's in the Fourmile area near Buena Vista.
Wish I'd have stopped there! Here's the view from our present campsite this weekend. It's in the Fourmile area near Buena Vista.
I try to avoid privately owned campgrounds as much as possible. I hate KOA/Good Sams. As a tent camper all you hear all night is loud people, loud generators and they cram you in like sardines. Like you mentioned too often they are too close to a highway where you hear road noises all night.Under no circumstances would I ever recommend Buffalo Hills RV park and campground out by route 6 near the Ramada. We were looking for a spot on the fly and maybe didnt pay attention to reviews when we tried to book online. The guy who runs the place is a total douchebag. Gin blossomed ass hat with a menacing sidekick as well. And the place itself is a Godforsaken mess. And way too close to the highway to be restful at all.
We were wary enough that we decided to up and leave and go to North Sterling. This after already having paid online, and not yet having set up camp. It was that ugly and disconcerting.
