We head west as often as we are able. The last trip out we headed due south out of Moab, into Bears Ears NM, then south to Hamburger Rock Campsite. We spent 5 days doing this, including a day trip over Elephant Hill, taking our time and enjoying ourselves. The 6th morning we headed into Monticello to re-supply, got back into Bears Ears and continued our journey south ending up in The Valley of the Gods. The 9th morning we headed into Mexican Hat, said goodbye to our family and headed west into the AZ strip. Here are a couple of photos. I would not recommend this leg of our trip for the faint of heart or for stock vehicles. There are many very technical sections. One particular gauntlet stands out as we spent over 5 hours winching and rock piling to get a lifted ZR Colorado and a stock 4Runner Trail up the tight narrow canyon. We were all exhausted after this and fortunately there was a great campsite atop the world waiting for us. Here is a really quick video and a few images.
