Greetings all-

So the rig is a 2017 Chevy Colorado with the new 3.6 v6 and 8 spd auto. I really enjoyed this vehicle in it's stock form for its car like highway mannerisms and excellent fuel economy. Prior to mods, the truck would consistently hit 25-26 mpg. Granted my commute is 95% highway, this greatly trumped my previous 14 f150 ecoboost which had difficulty hitting greater that 19 highway. But I digress.

The mods so far

Fox 2.5 Factory series coilovers with rest

Fox 2.0 adventure series rear shocks

Dirt King Fabrication UCA

Nitto Terra Grapplers (perform excellent in all conditions I've thrown at them)

RC 1.25" BL (boo- hiss, I know)

RC nerf bars (wife is tiny, but sliders will be purchased prior to our big trip October 2018)

Skids (shipped)

SPOD HD

ARB on board compressor

Rago light mounts

Since the truck is a DD, I had to gut the audio so I tore out the interior and properly sound deadened th floor and all doors + firewall. The Audio mods include Audio Control LC7, JL TW3 in a custom ported box tuned to 33hz, infinity kappas components and coaxials, rockford mono amp, and kenwood 4 channel (these amps were selected as they have excellent heat dissipation which is crucial in AZ)

I have been back and forth regarding an RTT but since I have an atv that I like to take out and lack of space for keeping the RTT, I ended up going with the Napier bed tent with annex. This proved the perfect combination for my needs as it actually has gotten my wife to go camping with me. The RTT just wouldn't have all of the space to keep her comfortable haha. Nothing beats getting out in the wilderness with your best-friend

The truck has performed great in all conditions thus far, so I have been piecing together my build based on vehicle shortcomings vs what is trending or what other drivers are currently using. This has allowed me to keep cost relatively low and something a bit different than what I've seen. As a side note- even with the lift and tires, the truck still sees over 21 mpg!

What good is a post without photos. I purchased the truck in February of this year, so below are photos of the truck and some of the adventures we've taken throughout AZ and some from a Colorado/Canyon meet in California. Thank you for taking the time in reading all of this and looking forward to the next adventure-20171126_100655.jpg 20171126_164545.jpg fullsizeoutput_9d.jpeg 20171007_094813.jpg 20170916_130002.jpg 20170916_104720.jpg 20170930_084212.jpg IMG_20170916_152303_694.jpg 20171117_201055.jpg 20171117_202757.jpg 20171117_201014.jpg
