This is the way I decided to do my wiring for my air compressor and rocker switches in my 1997 FZJ80 may not be perfect but they work
After taking off the lower dash valence and removing the trim above the steering wheel I was able to free up some room to get my hands around to start sniping and crimping..
After a little work with the dremel I was able to notch the punch outs enough to fit the arb rockers, the loom is all taped up and tidy (also very stiff so make sure you tuck it away beforehand so you don't run into fitment issues like I did.)
After getting your rocker switches plugged in you have two remaining wires one being a power source off of your ignition and the other being a wire to tap into your dash lights for the back light.
Firstly, I was having some troubles trying to figure out how I was supposed to tap into the ignition wire until..
Ta Da! A simple fix for someone like me who isn't very handy with electrical, a "Add A Circut" ran about 9$ from my local Napa auto parts.
Second, you need to tap into your dash lights...
I tapped into the dimmer switch because it's close positioning.
Now it is time to snip and strip!
Crimped the wires together and all done with that!
Buttoned it all up and it was ready for the test.
Install complete and ready for first air up!
Success! Thanks for reading
Locker install soon to come
