This is a invite to people that may want to go Overlanding. Meeting March 17 2017 at 10:00 am at the Lazy Lizard in Ocotillo Ca. http://www.parks.ca.gov/pages/638/files/ABDSPmap.pdf. Trail head starts at Canyon Sin Nombre off the s-2. We'll be taking the Diablo drop off (south entrance) to Fish Creek and Split Mountain. Stoping at the Wind Caves. Then we'll catch Buttes Pass road, stop at the Slot. Then head north on Borrego Mountain Wash. Hit the cut trail to Fault Wash and head north and visit Vista Del Malapls and Fonts point. Then We'll cut up Rockhouse road and back. Then we'll hit Borrego Springs visitor center and and hike Palm Canyon then hit the showers there. Then head north out of Borrego Springs into Collins Valley and visit Sheeps Canyon, Cougar Canyon and Salvador Canyon.

That's the jist of it. There's two rules one needs to know. No dogs in the back areas of the park. When we get back into where the Big Horn Sheep live one can understand why the park doesn't want predator scent where the Big Horn come down to water. The second is no ground fires but for designated fire rings and we wont be going to any of them. We have fire containers so no real need to bring anymore. Fire wood is always needed. Well be fueling in Ocotillo and Borrego Springs.

Me and my Overland partner Berry from Phoenix will be out by Yuma a Couple of days prior fishing and checking some places there. So were going to show up funky. Even if you can't stay till the 21st or if your new to Overlanding come on out and get to know your rigs and gear and have some fun. Lots of offroad miles.

This has been changed to March 24th to March 30. Same meeting place. Lazy lizard in Ocotillo, Ca. at 10:00 am on the 24th. We decided to add the Joshua Tree area to. We figured why not. We are going to be out that way anyways. No one responded so easy change.
