WOW!!! A Tacoma sized truck that comes with a 369lb-ft Diesel, Lockers front AND rear, Skid Plates, Rock Sliders, that gets 29mpg (highway) with a 650 mile range, for just over $40k. THAT's enough to make me want to upgrade! Would love to hear from anyone who owns, or has driven one (they may not be out yet).

... and this version may be available soon...

I'm still skeptical. I know my 8.25 got the short stick of the gm ifs family, and I know it's not unheard of for 7.25s to get limited, but a full blown locker?

Then again maybe I'm wrong might be a badass little truck

A locker in a GM ifs?

As a proud gm owner, I'm skeptical unless they upgraded the way they form the aluminum axle

I'm not a fan of IFS, and but I'd sacrifice to get a diesel :-)

as a die hard ford guy I must say that this truck looks amazing..... it will be nice to see what they end up going for at the dealer.. if the demand is high I'm sure they will go way over sticker price ( just like the current gen raptors).

If the housings weren't made out of cast aluminum and the tie rod issue was addressed at the factory, GM ifs wouldn't be that bad. I've seen guys weld the 8.25 to make it into a full spool and just went between 2wd and 4wd. The casing eventually split because it couldn't take the pressure when the front wheels got in a bind, but that's a 8.25 not a 7.

And a SAS just seems like itd add more lift than I want to put on my truck

They definitely have better on road manners than straight axles though. (The death wobble for example)

These look pretty sweet. Would be a sporty replacement to the Avalanche.
