Hi all,
This is actually my first post here! I'm glad to be a part of the community. My wife and I moved to Phoenix a few months ago and want to do a lot more weekend overland trips to get familiar with the area. We went to Flagstaff a couple weekends ago and camped but it was next to a ton of trucks with large campers and RVs. I've been looking on Gaia and have found some sites but I haven't been able to get a lot of good info on the spots that are a little more secluded, that you need 4wd to get to.
Do any of you know a good overland route near Flagstaff for a day trip to find some decent camping? I have a 2010 FJ TT Edition with a lift and 33" tires. Certainly capable but not hardcore. Any advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated! I searched this forum a few times but didn't find much info on shorter trips. A Forest Road that requires 4wd that ends up near some water [even a small creek] would be awesome. Thanks again!
