Annual U.P. 4th of July trip.

Leaving the afternoon of the 3rd for the U.P. Can't wait to leave this heat behind and enjoy the 50's-60's along Lake Superior. Going to hike a bit of the North Country Trail, maybe wear a jacket(I hope it is cold enough!) and make some beef stew over the fire.

I agree with you on the heat. I am going to the UP this September for the https://keweenawoverlandadventureretreat.com/ I wasn't aware that it can be that cool up there in July.

That is what the forecast says. It was so cold one year we had to set up tarps to block the wind off of the lake.
