So the lines and angles match up pretty well and nobody makes a snorkel for a 95 suburban.

My main issue is deciding on how to connect it to the airbox. My airbox sits passenger side corner about 10inches off the firewall. The 80 series sits much farther forward so the snorkels connection is about 12 inches too far forward.

My options are;

1. Leave everything where it is. Add some bends and tubing to route the air back to the box.

Pros, no real extra modification beyond a normal snorkel install. Maintains the look of the snorkel.

Cons, added restriction add complexity, added space under the hood, added points of potential failure. Have to move my aux fuse box.

2. Cut out a section of the snorkel to move it back to where it needs to be. Plastic weld it, bondo or epoxy it sand and paint.

Pros, it might look better if it doesn't stretch so far along the fender. Snorkel would attatch as intended.

Cons, the lines of the snorkel won't be perfect without a lot of body work on what is a cheap snorkel. A lot of modification required. Will still never have as good of a finish, especially after it gets abused on trails that are always too narrow for me.

3. Cut off the outlet pipe and seal the hole, cut a new hole and install pipe where it needs to be.

Pros, I can use a larger diameter outlet tube that matches the airbox inlet without an adapter =less restriction. Snorkel will look un modified on the outside.

Cons. It still would run pretty far down the fender which I am not sold on still.

I can't really move the airbox to the right place, even if I changed the airbox to turbo tube it would interfere with my aux battery and aux fuse box as well as my coolant overflow locations which would be more of a pain to relocate.

Looking for opinions on what other people think looks best. I may photoshop what a shorter snorkel would look like before I decide.

Oh the joys of engine swapped older rigs without aftermarket support.
