Unfortunately it wasn't an overland trip or even in an overland vehicle, but the rental did fine. 2200 miles across 7 states running APRS the entire time and it worked well, even in the Smoky Mountains National Park.

I also use the battery to operate my Kenwood TS-480 for some POTA activations.

POTA from Smoky Mountain National Park / Appalachian Trail - Storms (ie lightning) moved in so hard to cut the activation short, RF conditions weren't great either.
