Enthusiast III
Last month picked up a new 2023 Gladiator Rubicon 3.6. First things first. I knew I was going to be close to gross max weight so the suspension was the first thing ordered and installed. I went with the Dobinson's 3-inch heavy duty lift with all the components. The 3-way shocks, the heaviest duty springs and all the extensions. I also ordered and installed the Genesis 3rd Gen. Dual Battery system with dual Odyssey Group 25 Batteries for my "in cab" power needs (I tend to run a lot of electronics that I keep on full time in the cab) . I installed the ARB "stubby" front bumper with a Warn Zion 10k winch with synthetic rope. I went with the MOPAR 81/2-inch-wide wheels because I wanted to go with the KO2 35 inch tires. My snorkel (AEV) has arrived as have my dash bar for my electronics which will be installed along with 4 USB and 4 12 v hard wired outlets when I get my Gladiator back from the Camper build. I will also be installing the ARB Diff covers and Breather tubes.
Now for the Camper build. I went with the Alu Cab Canopy Camper with the 270 Awning and Shower Cube. It is also going to have the 13 Gallon water tank plumbed with both gravity feed and a water pump and the Dickenson 900 propane heater. I am getting the full sized Expedition Essentials fold down table with cutting board for the door along with the Expedition Essentials MaxTrax mount for the side window and their Propane carrier along with a 10lb tank. All the canvas shades and bug netting from Alu Cab is getting installed also. I am getting the Goose Gear Base Plate and a ARB 73 qt Zero Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer for the inside. The Camper will be powered by a 100 H lithium ion battery wired in with the RedArc management system and a 200W solar panel along with a 1500 A inverter. 2 load bars and a WeBoost and a Midland GMSR Radio. While I am getting the camper install, I will also be getting a LRA 17 Gal Aux Fuel Tank installed.
Once I get the truck back I will be installing all the parts that have arrived since the truck has been in North Carolina for the camper install and I will be deciding on what lights I want (more than likely doing the ARB suite of lights). Deciding on how I want to build out the inside after a trip or two in the truck and searching for a rear bumper that will allow me to get my spare tire out from under the bed. I am also trying to decide on which brake upgrades I want to go with. I am currently geared at 4:10 and depending on how the truck runs with the extra weight I will decide if I want to regear. Here are some pictures of the first part of the build.
