This isn't going to be to much of a build. I just purchased this last month, previously I had a 2019 F-150. I'll never do any hard core off roading intentionally lol, but you don't always know what you may get into.
I carried over a Krazy House Customs differential skid plate. I really like this skid plate because it doesn't use the rear diff cover bolts as a mounting point and it has a spine the runs down the center formed to the diff. This is a stout, thick steel piece and I feel very confident in its ability to protect the diff.
Tonight I installed a rear diff cover. The Ford Performance diff cover is made by Spicer, but costs $100-$150 more because is has a Ford Performance emblem. I was able to get the Spicer branded cover for $129 and I purchased a LubeLocker gasket to go with it as well. I use Amsoil fluids throughout. Following the tightening sequence provided with the gasket, I torqued to 15 ft lbs on the first pass and 30 ft lbs on the second pass.
I received my Decked today and will get that installed tomorrow hopefully.
I have an RSI Smart Cap Adventure ordered and I placed an order for a custom set of leaves from Alcan Spring.
That's all that's in the works for the moment. Future upgrades will be a Spicer front diff cover and a winch. In regards to the winch, I'm undecided. I may go with one that mounts in the factory bumper with a mount from Swarfworks which means I'll also be upgrading the intercooler for it to fit. Or I may go with a Warn bumper and winch that doesn't require an intercooler upgrade, but if I go this route I may also add some Geiser front springs to compensate for the additional. If I could mount the winch in the factory bumper without having to upgrade the intercooler, that would be ideal. I'll have to ponder on this one for a while.
That'll probably be about it, I overland with an off road camper so I don't need to build mine out extensively.
