Built this 2006 LR3 during the summer and fall of 2021. Just thought I'd share, now that its winter and all I can think about is where I'm going in 2022 .
So I do have a bunch of pictures I will share if there is interest.
I bought this used last year for a very good price with only 130K on it. I knew I'd have to do a lot of suspension and chassis work though, but my intention was to do a complete rebuild anyway so she'd be as dependable as possible during my travels. Was able to get out late fall and head west, from the northeast, for a month long test run. I learned a lot in that short time and what you see here will in fact get altered.

That truck looks great! I just bought an ‘08 a few weeks ago to be used as my DD and the family adventure mobile. What did you decide on for the front bumper? I keep waffling back and forth between the various full bumper options…

Thanks. I decided on the ARB winch bumper. It was not my first choice and I was going to build my own, but time was short. Eliminated their dumb rubber bumperettes and the lower outer skirts, and added the shackles. I'm actually very happy with it now. Had to do some cutting and welding to fit the winch I had. Removing the skirts certainly makes the bumper less chunky. Nicely done. I’ll have to keep that in mind when it comes time to order? How much of a pain was it?
