Awesome! Thanks for the info. That's a really fast delivery time, considering I'm waiting at least a month for everything else. So the backup camera isn't useful at all with the tire blocking it? How about the collision detectors? Did you have to disable them so it's not beeping at you all the time?
Hey! I am also in San Diego and also new to overlanding. I have been exploring local trails around Ramona and Palomar Mountain, but haven't done anything more adventurous yet. Apparently there are two OB meetups in SD, they next get together on 9th and 16th of July. I'm planning to hit up both...
It has a poor man's lift via spacers. The dealership does this so they can put larger tires on them and ask waaaaay over MSRP. Besides that, it's stock. It will soon get rock sliders and a roof rack. I am considering a hitch tire mount, and that should be the end of it.
Cool, that looks like an option when traveling light. I think I'm leaning towards the rigd ultra-swing. It's only 60 pounds without all the accoutrements.

Hey OB! Got a newbie spare tire question:
I have a fifth gen 4runner that came with four 32.7" BF Goodrich all-terrain K02 tires, but just a factory 31.6" spare. Everything I've read suggests running a full size spare, but as far as I can tell, I can't just put a 32.7" tire where the spare sits...
Thanks for your reply. Just going out and off-roading is the conclusion we came to as well. Have done some easy local stuff around home and had a blast. Now we're looking to go with a group on something more adventurous, hopefully OB will help with that. Also planning to take a I4WDTA course in...
Hello all!
We are Igor and Katrina from San Diego.
Just got a 2022 4runner TDR-off-road.
We have been camping for a while, but have zero experience in off-road travel. We would love to benefit from the wisdom of the OB community.
