I recently swapped my roof tent setup for a four wheel camper, I am looking to sell my CBI bedrack for the 15-22 Colorado/Canyon.
I am located in the Black Hills in South Dakota it is used and has some scratches and use marks.
Asking price is $500, OBO, I am willing to potentially meet within...
Personally, I would think you would want atleast a 350A relay/solenoid for that load, but if that's the case why would they ship it with a 50Ax3(150A)?
So according to Badlands directions, you simply wire the 12V positive from the winch to that 50x3(150A) relay, and direct to the battery... but it's stumping me because how could 150A work if the peak for the full winch is over 350A? I'd do a 350 but if that's not recommended I don't want to...
So this is my first time wiring up a winch to a vehicle, I ordered a badlands ZXR12K which just comes with a relay and direct battery wire kit. I want to be able to remote kill power with a switch just to be safe... my question is.. how large of a solenoid to run. I'm a bit confused as The max...
Just in case anyone is camping tonight and is coming from afar myself and Flatland Woodsman will be camping up the trail at this coordinates: 44.27079, -103.54368
Let me know if you plan to join and I can always try to send exact camp coordinates or meet at the trailhead as well.
I am gonna drop out of camping tomorrow but should still be able to Saturday after the trails and everything. Looking forward to meeting up Saturday AM!
Here is a couple spots, tucked in the trees a bit that I have been to.
44.31335, -103.57508
44.37358, -103.58579
Off a couple trails that aren't too bad or far off the canyon
Propane pits are allowed here so that would certainly be ok! I have a few dispersed spots I've marked and explored off a couple trails that would work and are surrounded by trees. I can camp Friday and Saturday nights, Friday I'd be able to be to one of the spots by 5:30-6PM after work easily
The biggest question is, Dispersed or USFS Campground? Dispersed means no campfires anywhere in the black hills, USFS means campfires in a pit, but paid spots
Potential for snow tomorrow or Monday but it's suppose to be 50-65 all week so it should be fine by next Saturday as well. It looked like everyone had pretty good rigs but figured I'd clarify in case some were just in the shadows reading the comments!
Double checked the trailhead and it's a bit rockier than this spring, but still more than doable with slow going. Might be a bit of a challenge if anyone is in a Subaru type vehicle class but I don't think it's unreasonable for them! Here's some pictures of the rocky spots if anyone is...
