These are great trucks. We walmost got the same color as your but there was a wobble in the backend on the test drive. Since the sale price was only on two trucks with regular size beds we went with the one we have.
My in-laws have a cargo trailer they don't use very often. We will use that if we ever need it. With the 6.5" bed I don't see a need for pulling anything for any trip less than two weeks, especially once I get my rack (we already have a yakima roof box). I've thought about getting a small single...

I think I have to agree with no chains on the front for on road use. You shouldn't be going over 30mph with chains on so breaking and stearing shouldn't be inhibited too much if you have good tires and chains on the rear.
My manual says to use Class S chains. I think these are usually low profile chains. They also say to only use on the rear axle. I think that both of specs are so that the chains don't damage the vehicle. 1. Low profile so there isn't any body interferance and 2. So if a chain breaks or comes...
Madcratebuilder,
I got a SoftTopper and want to put a rack over it. Any suggestions? I see you have a rack on over your roof. What rack is it and do you like having something over the cab?
Our current rig - 1999 F250 7.3 ps CCSB. Currently weighs in at 8550 lbs. used for DD, without water and food loaded.
Which awning and wall system is this?
I don't think I can make it because of a work trip. If I can get back in time I'll try. I'm excited to get to know those in the region.
I'm curious if this trail is suitable for a mid 93 suburban with no recovery gear?
I did know about the lockers, but I think it would be cheaper to install them aftermarket if needed. I don't think I would ever need a front locker. I don't like that the unique shocks on the ZR2 hang so low below the axle, I don't know that anyone has had problems with that it just seems like a...
That is about what I'm looking for. Just shopping around right now. I like the Colorado style the best. I would like the long bed so the dog can be in the bed while we travel. Like you I don't want to do anything extreme, but I already take our min-van as far off-road as I can for camping, and...
Will,
Is your rig a Gas or Diesel? Are you only using it as a vehicle to get to the slopes/trails with or do you have plans to use it on the trails (backcountry off-road stuff)? I'm just curious is the Z71 is sufficient for the kinds of things I want to do off-road. Any performance upgrades...
Hello OB world! I have been following the group on social media for a while now. I'm glad to start my relationship with a group that has great principles and interests.
Location:Moscow, Idaho
Rig (for now): 93 Chevy Suburban. Gifted from my in-laws that wanted to junk it. It has around 210k...
