The basics such as anyone using one, better years. I believe after 2001 they got an engine upgrade and reat disk brakes over drums. Available upgrades especially over here in UK

This is my vw t5. Although it's a 2wd model it's a surprisingly capable rig especially paired with hi fly all terrain tyres and the front runner roof rack and accessories
I love taking it on local forest trails and up to dartmoor, devon, UK
Hope this is allowed here. Until I get a 4x4(hopefully a disco 3) i have my 2wd vw t5 van which has all terrain tires and a front runner roof rack with 25l water tank, under rack table and a few other universal accessories

It's a 2004 vw transporter. It is a 2wd model but has a split charge system, hifly 601 all terrain tyres and a front runner roof rack and accessories
Although not being 4wd I do use it on forest roads and a few local devon Greenlanes where I know it is capable
