Nice, my grandfather built my trailer, frame and box, about 40 years ago. I started restoring it last year. It's super overbuilt for it's size, but that's what I love about it. The ID of the box is only 4'x6.5', but it's built on 1.5"x4"x.250" c channel steel and the interior skins are .250"...
Very nice! I have a hybrid trailer as well! I've thought heavily on an enclosed insert like you have. I just don't really have the space to store it when I need the open trailer to haul stuff. I'm just going to build a raised, aluminum, lid for mine this winter. Once I do that, I'll be adding a...
Did the alpha package get the front/rear locker and lower geared t case as an option? I drove a friend's h3 with 37's, non alpha, quite a bit and can only imagine how much better the alpha package would be. Great job on the build.

It's 2 features I'll never do without on any trailer I have going forward. Parking brakes should be an industry standard for any type of utility trailer. The removable tongue helps me rest a little easier knowing someone is going to have try a bit harder to tow away my trailer.

Just a hop, skip, and a jump! I'm about 25-30 mins straight up 65 from ya. I'm in the nippers corner area, Brentwood/Antioch area.

Just figured I'd post as it's been a while. I've put close to 4500 miles on my trailer in the last few months. Did the FJ summit in Ouray Colorado, Overland East, and a few family camping trips thrown in for good measure. The trailer has come a long ways and has many more mods planned for...
Very likely I'll be at overland east. We had a big trip planned to attend last year with my brother in law but hurricane Matthew hit and him and wife couldn't leave their area due to being a leo/fire fighter. Definitely let me know if y'all plan to ride up together. I'd be happy to tag along...
I have my first official camping trip planned for the first week of April, 7th-9th. I'm running a 5k trail run in Chattanooga, running with Sasquatch. I'm planning to camp at one of the camp grounds on lake chickamauga, preferably Chester frost; although I'm learning it may not be so easy to get...
I just got a surprise phone call from the fabrication shop. My rack is finish! Here's a quick teaser photo of the rack in the high position. It will lower a little over 20 inches for driving and parking in the garage.

I'm restoring a custom made 4'x6.5' trailer my grandfather built some 30+ years ago. It's way overbuilt with 2"x4"x.250 C channel steel and uses .250" plate aluminum for the interior floor and interior walls.
I have a build thread over on expedition portal...
I'm jkchad on IG. I'll have my my trailer with adjustable tent rack back this week. Picking up some 16" Silverado truck wheels and tires this morning for the trailer. Found a great deal on a portable sandblaster a few days ago. So, soon as the trailer gets back from the fab shop, I'll be...
Worked in Sheridan Wyoming for a couple of months back in 2013. Had such a great time in that little town and exploring out in the Big Horn NF on the weekends. Did all kinds of service/fire road loops. I was sorta limited on where I could go cause I was 1400miles from home and drove my wife's VW...
I wasn't planning to start out the RTT usage on a trailer, but some good points were brought up to me about the disadvantages of having the RTT on your vehicle. I'll be camping with my wife and son, currently 15 months old. Having to break down camp every time we might need to leave camp won't...
