For what it’s worth, you mentioned that you want to share this with your kids when they are older. I’d say enjoy your current rig and when it starts to get cramped look at your options at that point. You might consider keeping what you got and buying another rig for the family trips in whatever...
Redid the factory seam sealer and added new urethane to the old windows. Also added our “sandwich” to the tailgate. (Sandwich = 1/4” EPDM closed cell foam, thinsulate 600 with scrim toward the epdm, then a foamed reflective barrier glued to the fluff)
Yeah i saw that, my apologies for not being clear with my question. I was wondering if there was another cleanup coming this year. I thought i saw something about late October somewhere. If so, how does the fire effect that, and as well, with the fire is there anything that might be in the works...
Kent, is anything changing for an upcoming clean up based on the current fire?

Wow i really hope i can make it this time! I think finding dispersed campsites is actually something i can help with to given my disabilities. So far is had to cancel each time with huge disappointment.
Some endoscope pics of the boxed section of the frame. Next step is to clean this out and protect it. It’s in better shape then i thought it would be TBH.
Got some work done on the roof. In case anyone is wondering, i am using the Mastercoat series products. After years of being a fabricator and artist and working at the university of california running numerous shops i got to experiment with many many products, these are the ones ive chosen to...
OK so for those who dont know, Im fully disabled so everything goes frustratingly extra slow. So i seem to disappear from OB1 then pop up again. Apologies for the inconsistency. Here’s a few more progress pics on what my partner and i have gotten done. This is the interior “bed” area of the...

I cant vouch for any as we are still experimenting and the next ones on our list are a set of small stainless steel grinders you use your thumb to engage the mechanism, but we haven’t yet bought them. You can find them on amazon for reference. If you’d like a link i can provide it, but like i...
Replaced the cat and got a new muffler. Had them tuck it up unlike the last one, made sure it was quiet as a 454 could be and as stock looking as possible.

Needed to get a rear camera installed as I had to shange plans and head back up to Oregon on short notice due to an emergency...here is what we were able to get done. In the photos (I really hope they dont show up upside down...
Sorry been MIA, will use the app tomorrow, going back up to Oregon. Unfortunately a lot of life stuff happening (as it goes) I'd say more but dont want the drama or the sympathy lol. took a quick look at the update info and wow, once again very impressed with the rigor.
Obviously im making a false binary here, but id rather spend the money and time going to see “Lightening Field” then this. But having seen many of Heizers work I’ve never been a fan of his. But thats me.
