Because of careless folks, the area is closed. This article says you can still see the mill from the road. My frustration grows as I continue to find and collect more trash in our beautiful outdoors to try and keep it from suffering the same fate...
Seemed weird to me to, but it does say safe to carry inside vehicle, which any propane is so long as it is upright and not too hot. Not that I’m anymore comfortable with that…
Ignik has a 5# tank with a growler which is safe to carry in the vehicle. We were going to go with a bigger tank, but this is a better option for our rig since we don’t have a good place to mount it either.
However, we were thinking of trying to fab something that could go in the hitch receiver...
Great review and great video! I’ve been looking for an alternative because of the wildfires. Growing up in Colorado, I can remember the existential dread as you fall asleep after putting your fire out. “Was it enough?”
We really enjoy ours. We do find the setup a little clunky, but can usually get it settled right. The best part is that it is bottomless! This was huge for us since we have a Decked storage system and needed access.
Oh, man! I’ll be missing you by a week or two! Headed down to that area for work and wanted to check it out myself. Let me know if you find any good spots!
Unfortunately not my size. But for any well rounded hiker in Colorado who wants to do Little Bear Peak, I would highly suggest these for the stability needed!!!
I too have GoTreads for leveling! It’s a great innovation for both traction boards and leveling. Such a space saver since I don’t have mounts for anything like MaxTrax. Reasonable price point as well. Downside is you can’t use them to bridge/ramp, but will get you out of snow, sand, or mud...
Great choice of vehicle! Grew up a Chevy kid and got myself a 2019 Chevy Colorado too. It’s gotten me to places I would never thought I’d get to. Happy adventuring!!!
