I'll have my M1101 trailer with a rooftop tent on it if there is room. It's about the size of a turtleback , if it's to much I can leave it home.

I do a similar trip every summer but start in SE Texas and end in NE Pennsylvania. I'll look thru my prior routed and send you some info. Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia all have some good options and I typically use onX to do route planning. BTW planning on doing it...

Queco, You may want to look at surplus military trailers. Price will generally be lower and you can build to meet your needs if you want to take the diy approach. The picture is of my project, had a custom rack fabricated and built storage in the bed of the trailer.
