it is my water tank. But due to vehicle sway when its up there i only fill it half full. It heats up real quick in the Australian summer. So once i arrive at a place and im in the sun i can easilly use the hot water from it to shower.
it is this...
I wanted a shower so bad.
So did this. Padding not to crush my roof haha
Then from bunnings bought a black water container. It has perfect size plug holes for a hose attachment.
Plugged the end. It holds 60 litres. Ive had about 30 litres in it. In the Australian sun and also when driving...
i have just recently gotten into fishing, now i cant stop going. Dont have many friends who fish so its often wading up tiny creeks solo. But its a good excuse to get out. But dont judge me, i fish for trout on a spinner.
Its like a mini gutter which i screwed onto the pop top.
I was shitting my pants about drilling into my fibreglass waterproof 26 year old roof. But these vans are needed to be used and abused.
so the project begins.
i got some gutter mount roof racks and checked if they would work.
Well i need more storage. So roof racks and a pod are my options. But i have a pop top. Not being able to put the roof racks on the usual "gutter mount" isnt going to work as the pop top is in the way. So a friend of mine made me these.
Due to no roof racks sometimes awnings can be a little tricky. Had to buy these brackets. They work so damn well!
Nothing beats the adventures you can have when u get out in nature.
Had to fix the shitty side materiel. A gluey messy process. But turned out pretty good.
The latest addition...
Hated this grey Cabinet.
Found some wood in a bin at work and got back to the work shed.
Done. Much better.
Limited cupboard space is the killer. So thought this was a bit too much wasted space.
Had left over free wood still and got building.
Much better.
Then the first fun part.
So much fun with friends. Outdoor screen for a movie , round the fire , talking shit. Perfect.
A nice spot just outside Melbourne, Australia.
Seemed to attract more van people.
On the drive home she began to blow a bit of smoke.....
Then almost bushfire amounts of smoke. Filling up the entire freeway amounts of smoke. So like most people who own these vans. Like a right of passage. This happened.
Theowner before me had put almost 6.5 litres of oil in when it should...
Howdy from Australia. Not many vans on here, but i thought id show what ive done to mine. Im by no means a mechanic at all or very Tool minded whatsoever. So keep that in mind haha. I owned vans in the past then saw this and decided to jump right in.
It was a bit rough inside, but it was...
Thanks for the warm welcome @Dunco. Appreciate it.
