    Wyoming meet-up/ camp out

Sorry for the delay...if you're still looking at maps, think of a starting point around South Pass City and Atlantic City, both off of WY 28, south of Lander. From those two spots, one can travel the historic trails in several directions: one route generally follows more or less parallel to...

    Wyoming meet-up/ camp out

I'm in Jackson Hole and would be interested. One idea is the South Pass City/Atlantic City area. Can explore the overland trails(Mormon, Oregon, California) on mainly BLM land. Lots of great trail riding in an area with a lot of history and open spaces. Lodging in Lander for anyone not camping.

It's a good choice to avoid WY for a February trip. Weather can be trecherous, unpredictable, and lead to road closures, etc. Also Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks are effectively closed to vehicle traffic except for very limited sections.

    Wyoming trip

I'm familiar with Northwest Wyoming mostly. Here's a few thoughts FWIW: 1) Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks are treasures and some of the most beatiful parts of our country; 2) these two parks have gone to an advance reservation system for camping -- try to make reservations far in...

Hi, new member from Jackson Hole, WY now on my third Land Cruiser...took plunge on the 2021 out of fear it will be the last of the breed. Primarily explore Grand Teton National Park and surrounding Greater Yelowstone Ecosystem. Plus, love driving the Emigrant Trails (Oregon, California...
