I am not disregarding the information presented in your post which contains good information for people. I have owned Subarus since 1999. This is my third Outback and sixth Subaru. I know Subaru's capabilities and limitations, and I have not taken this one or my previous one on hard-core...
This is my 2nd Subaru that I take overlanding/offroad on a regular basis when my schedule allows me to. However, I am still in a learning phase with this one. My 2014 was one that I adored and knew its limits.
Thank you. :relaxed:
I will do that. It is more than likely to be very similar to my Surecall, which would boost a cell signal if the user has a bar or two. If there is no signal, then one is out of luck.
With my Surecall, I had a Zoom meeting with my museum supervisor while in the middle...
The newest addition to the setup is a Weboost Overland edition. My car still has the Surecall, and I am hoping to try both to see which one I prefer. If both perform well, I might put the Surecall on my other Subaru, a Legacy XT. I am sure that people might be wondering how that antenna is...
Which antenna are you referring to? If you are referring to my small antenna on the roof, that is my Surecall. Its cable is through a grommet in the car. If you are referring to my ham radio's antenna, it is running through the car's firewall.
I have wanted an Outback Wilderness since the trim was released in 2021. I almost bought one in 2021, but I enjoyed my 2014 and didn't want to let it go quite yet.
More updates:
An Icom 2730A ham radio installed
Proclip mount for my ham radio
Lights for my grille
Rallitek ditch light mounts
Diode Dynamics SS3 light pods
Aux6 light switch
I put my name on this vehicle right during the solar eclipse, and I am pretty excited about it. However, I do miss my old, sure, and steady 2014. So far, I have only added accessories and overlays to the vehicle.
Accessories from Subaru:
Subaru Outback Wilderness mudflaps
Window deflectors...
It's the end of an era for my 2014 Outback, which was traded in at 116k miles. I upgraded to a 2024 Outback Wilderness, which I plan to modify in a similar style to my 2014. I also still have my 2020 Legacy XT, so now I have 2 Subarus with turbo engines in the garage. Before I allowed for my...
If members have seen my build thread for my 2014 Outback, one would know that I am no stranger to owning an Outback. I just purchased a 2024 Outback Wilderness (my 3rd Outback), which in most cases would be familiar to my 2014 Outback except for a few things...the new engine, even though I have...
Last month, during the solar eclipse, I decided to put my name on a newer Outback Wilderness. I also ended up trading in my 2014 Outback, so this is the end of an era. While I am sad about trading in my 2014 Outback with 116k miles, I look forward to what the new Outback Wilderness (my sixth...
