Hello all. Do you folks have any suggestions on where to camp on the Kern River? I’m wanting to keep my next trip to a couple hundred miles this time from a Friday to something like Monday. I would be in my RTT and would like to be pretty close to the river.
Thanks
Question for everyone. Is there a site or location on line I can go to and see an updated status on if a trail is open or not? I would hate to go all the way up to trail and see that it’s closed. I’m looking to see if the canyon that leads up to Idlewild is open or not.
The time has come to retire my Rover. The engine decide it was time to retire. So after a period of mourning, I have decided it was time for a Toyota 4 Runner. It’s a 2005 but seems to run really well and looks amazing. Plus it only has 165K for mileage. I am pleased so far. Pictures on profile
Hello everyone. I received and installed my 270 awning on Friday. It was a little more difficult than YouTube explained to install. Lol However, I got it installed and set up and its amazing. I’m looking forward to using that this weekend up in Idyllwild.
So I finally took the rover out for a weekend trip with the wife grandbabies daughter and her boyfriend. I built this generic rack system in the back of the rover and it ended up being amazing. I pretty much just wanted to go out this weekend to test all of my systems and everything worked...
Hello everyone. Well today I finished cutting all my sheet metal, rivets, hinges, cables and V rings and created my back a little area like a lot of you folks still on your jeeps and Land Cruiser’s. However you don’t see any videos for the most part of them doing it to their LanRover. I think...
Hello everybody. I have a question for the entire Over lander world here. I’m looking at building a recovery kit for my Disco 2. My question is what gear do I need to make a good recovery kit? Right now in my vehicle I have the winch, shackles on both sides, a basic tool kit, a tree saving...

What are you guys thoughts on Cleghorn. Is that a pretty mellow trail for a beginner? I checked through this site and it says it is. As long as it’s nothing crazy I think it in my regular make it.
Welcome to the club. Like you, I’m new to the Offroad thing but I am not new to camping. I’m really looking forward to it and the community is so much different than the motorcycle/Supercross crowd. It’s crazy. But I love it. There’s a lot of information here and everybody on here are amazing to...
@EXPO_D1 I decided to go with the Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain adventure tires with Kevlar. I’ve got a set of five for $1100 and then $150 rebate. Right now I’m realizing that I’ve spent so much money trying to do everything fast it’s just crazy. So now I’ve got to watch the budget.
Do any of you guys know anything about the Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain adventure with Kevlar tires I just bought five, to include the spare and I bought 32s for my Dico2 and I put them on Monday.
