Wow ok thanks for the feedback. Not necessarily looking to do serious rock crawling really just looking for added protection for places like the Daniel Boone Back Country Byway. Thanks for the feedback though I appreciate it as I am still new to overlanding.
I would love to know what other full-size 1500 Silverado guys are running for rock sliders and what their opinions are. I’m looking to get some and would love to hear experiences good and bad. Any advice is welcome as always.
I’m just starting mine too. I bought a rocky ridge k2 so I feel like I have an ok starting point at least from a clearance perspective. May upgrade the suspension parts eventually to something more heavy duty.

This is a really great perspective and I think shows how diverse this community is. Some people want to challenge themselves with difficult off-roading challenges and others see overlanding as the way to the beautiful spot they chose to camp. To each their own nothing wrong with either...
