Welcome, Blake! Sounds like you are off to a strong start with your new rig and a nice chunk of time to enjoy it. Hope you are able to share your experiences with the rest of us when you return from your adventures
I like Michael’s recommendation of 2 gallons per person per day which should be plenty. I bring 6 gallon “Aqua-tainers” cube containers from Reliance. Costs around $3.50 to fill one up from a filtered water vending machine found nearly everywhere
Don’t lose that spirit! Put a date on the calendar and be sure to pack linch and snacks, that is what I had to do to get my family out to Hollister Hills for my first dirt outing.
If I may suggest a trail that is safe, easy, fun, and really memorable; if you are up to driving out to the central...

2012 F150 Supercrew. 3” lift via Icon coilovers and control arms in front, 1.5” add-a-leaf in the rear allowed for 35’s to fit nicely. Pics here are from last week at the top and bottom of Corral Hollow.

Get your rig in some dirt and see how it performs. Hit some light to moderate trails and see if there is any lack of performance (power, traction, ground clearance, approach/decent angles (from stock bumpers)). Whatever issue stands out the most, do that first.
Unless you are willing to to spring for airbags, make a decision on whether it is more important for your rig to be level loaded or unloaded. If unloaded, level it out and enjoy. If loaded, throw add-a-leafs in the rear after you level to get 1.5” of lift in the rear which, after a decent gear...
Before leaving town, I’ll pick up a 1/4 lbs of light roast from Peet’s and gladly accept the free cup of drip brew they offer me. I ask the barista to grind the beans coarse for my French press. For a full French press, I add 4tbsp grounds and steep with lid on (press up) for 10 min. Lovely…
