Nomadic 270 degree awning form Overland Vehicle Systems

I have found that a mini fold before rolling helps. Also lubricating the zipper helps. I wish the walls had windows/ventilation.

Nomadic 270 degree awning form Overland Vehicle Systems

I’m sure you can use the stock brackets that come with the awning. i have the ranger rack, so instead of purchasing another crossbar so I can use all 3 OVS brackets, I purchased the set of three foxwing/batwing brackets from Gobi. They fit the OVS perfectly. yes the wait sucks, but to me well...

I did order the awning and all 3 walls from Campsaver with the 25% discount. Couldn’t pass up that deal!

    AGM Dual Battery System

@Tooolman. I’m in the same boat. I can’t decide between a lithium or AGM for a second battery for my JKU. I would like to have solar charging. Currently the only thing that would be using is a fridge. Decisions...decisions.

Roof Top Tent or Ground Tent?

I’m thinking awning with side walls as my tent. Cot and sleeping bag. Only downside would be having to run an errand. I do however have a Gazelle 4 plus and a 2 person tent as options.

Gobi Stealth Rack with Smittybilt overland tent

The install is time consuming, but definitely worth it. The hardest part will be putting the top of the rack on, especially by yourself. There may be a couple of videos of people installing the rack by themselves. Both racks will install the same.

Gobi Stealth Rack with Smittybilt overland tent

I’m looking at the Nomadic 270 by Overland Vehicle Systems. I am also waiting for Gobi to get back with me re: their batwing awning brackets to see if they are compatible with the Nomadic awning. Otherwise I will purchase a third crossbar to mount awning. OVS states their awning will work with...

Welcome. I am fairly new to overlanding as well. I have a Gobi Ranger rack for my JKU. It is definitely a two person job to put on and to take off. I have yet to take off rack to take the hardtop off, but it can be done. As far as the rooftop tent, I personally cannot answer. your Gobi rack...
