Hoping to make this one, had to get the rig ready for a 4th of July weekend trip to the Ouachitas and unfortunately the last meetup had to be sacrificed. Broken Bow seems the most logical, the area we were in this past weekend is not far from there either and was a perfect weekend trip.

Not Sure if the national forests are the same, but the padre island national seashore has a junior ranger program and gave my kids a patch for picking up litter, they now have patches in rig so that was cool.

Yup I carry everyday in accordance with local laws. Hopefully I never have to use it but the option is nice. If you decide to carry make sure you get training, there are a lot of good folks out there with very good classes.
