It is with a very heavy heart that I have to part with my rig. :disrelieved:
My job is temporarily relocating us overseas. I would be very grateful if a fellow overloading family would take over.
Summary:
Lexus GX 460 / Landcruiser Prado 150
125K miles. Asking $16,999 OBO
ARB Off-road bumper &...
Replaced the front bumper and suspension on my GX460. Have a set of front coil overs and fog lights left for anybody who is interested.
Preferably in the Phoenix, AZ area to avoid shipping.
Playing with APRS too. Coverage can become spotty when you are out of range for the next repeater (2m/70cm). Running a TM-D710 in my rig. Have no it been able to make many contacts. Anyone interested in setting a time for a QSO?
KF5YMZ checking in.
Will spend some time testing my new J-Pole antenna for 2m / 70cm at the house. Maybe some activity on APRS. Also some SSB on 10m / 20m. Hope to see ya'll on the air or on the trail.
@Gunnermoose if memory serves me right you are also a ham. Do you monitor a particular frequency while out on the trail. I will only be able to do a family day trip but want to go on the air a bit this weekend. Would love to check in with you to see how the trip to the plateau is going.

Had to park the rig in the garage for an extended period. Airbag recall makes the passenger seat unusuable. Dealer gave me a rental to haul the kids, but I am not allow to drive my favorite car. Sucks. :tired:
Hope to use the time for some mods. Mount and hook up the radio(s), maybe a roof rack?
Also check out this article http://w6nbc.com/articles/2012-03QST2mmounting.pdf on W6NBC 's web site. A couple of interesting graphs showing simulated antenna patterns for different locations on the car.

Hello everyone!
I am Chris and just starting into overlanding. Traveling has always been a passion. In my younger days I backpacked and hiked in Europe (where I was born and raised) and Australia (my first big adventure). Today it is a large part of my job unfortunately only to offices and...
