    Should I change vehicles?

Elephant Hill can be challenging. People take full-size rigs through regularly. Only place I’d be hesitant is the squeeze. Jeep would make it easier. But there are lots of remote places you can take a full-size in Canyonlands and surrounding places.

    Should I change vehicles?

From what I read, Ridgeline seems to meet @ATL Bob s current needs. It's a good balance between daily duties and offroad capabilities for a lot of people. Ridgeline is more capable than what people give it credit for. I think he will be fine for a long time and should hold off on making any...

    Should I change vehicles?

@FX4Overlander - I did Black Bear a couple years ago in a Tacoma. It was tight enough in that truck. Couldn’t imagine taking a full size on it, although some people have. But for all other trails in the area (Imogene, Engineer, etc) , I would take my F150. Such a beautiful area. Can’t wait to go...

    Should I change vehicles?

Again, I would just keep what you’ve got. Nothing what you said indicates you need anything more than a Ridgeline. In all honesty, 99% of my camping outings could be done in a Subaru. And it would handle better for a daily as well. But if you do switch, just go for a full size. Don’t mess with...

    Roof top tent on Pathfinder

I would get 3 Yakima crossbars in place of the stock bars, and bolt it to that. As long as the rack is in good shape, it should work. If you're bouncing around a lot offroad, check on the rack regularly.

    Should I change vehicles?

I'd say run with what you've got until you find it really limiting your travels. Get some all-terrain tires and see what happens. There are some Youtube channels of people "soft"roading in the new Passports. Adding an RTT should be easy and if you do decide to move to another midsize truck...

Input on Silverado vs Tundra purchase decision?

I almost bought a Tundra a few months ago when shopping for a new truck. The things that kept me from buying one were: - Poor payload. One I was looking at was 1,190lbs (on the door jamb sticker). Way lower than what the brochure said. My F150 has 2k lbs. - Mediocre crash test rating (per...

Let's see those full size rigs - Trucks & SUV

‘19 F150 STX. Great truck for my family of 5. I’m going to keep the mods to a minimum. And camping gear won’t be like most “over landing” set up. No RTT, built in drawers, refrigerator, etc. 33” BFG tires to take us to a lot of places out here in the west. No lift and not planning on one We’ve...

Full size overlanding pros vs cons.

Midsize is nice but the 3 qualms I have are: 1) No better MPG than full size but much smaller gas tank. My F150 gets as good or better MPG. 2) No room for 3 kids in a midsize. Loads of room in the full-size. 3) Ride comfort is so much better in the full-size especially for long distance trips...
