Colorado crew cab has a 10 “ longer wheel base than a 4 door Jeep but 10” less than a gladiator…
So the new springs and upper control arms are in. Raised the truck 2” from stock and rides way nicer that the hockey puck level kit. Can’t wait to get her out this weekend and try it out.
Thanks for all the replies. So I know myself well enough that if I don’t keep adding improvements to my truck I’ll trade it in and then regret it. And I do need to be honest with myself on what I want to use my rig for. Overland and desert playing.
She’s going in tomorrow to get the level kit...
I got a 2021 Zr2 bison over a year ago. I got the Litner rack, level kit in the front 33’ tires, Baja design fog and ditch lights. Im about to do a peak suspension front upper control arm and coils. But I have a problem. I have Jeep envy. My wife has a 2020 Jeep Sahara. I did a 2” lift and 35”...
Found a 21 ZR2 Bison for 45k with 8300 miles, the shift plates are cherry. The guy never took it off road. 8000$ less than the lower option Mojave and so much more comfortable than the Tacoma. Next step will be 4.10 gears and 33” tires and a cab high RTT rack. Then if I can swing it a wench...
That’s the worry about the Tacoma also. I drive back and forth from LA to East of Palm Springs a few times a week. I won’t always do it in my truck , but the few times a month I will do it I need to be comfortable for those 3 1/2 hour rides home.
I just sold my 2500 mega cab 5.7 last week for more than I bought it for 4 years ago, strange times. It was never the ideal rig to go out and about near by. I live East of Palm Springs, Looking to play mostly in the California and AZ deserts and Mountain areas and most likely never out more...
I went to a Ram Dealer that had a good price on the Rebel and it was a BS add with a bunch of add ons that couldn't be taken off. Then having to think of payments again I decided to take tha 4k I was going to put down and start working on my Stock 2500 mega cab, then I am selling a jet boat...
if you have any questions feel free to ask and I’ll answer as best I can
Assuming the truck is in good condition should a high mileage raptor scare me off there’s a few in the 75-90k mileage. What are normal failures on these trucks?
And I’m sorry that this is my third decision I’m trying to make on this forum. I did t think my truck had enough value to cover what I owe. I’m not upside down anymore so I can get out of my ram without carrying over to the new truck
For around 40k I can get a new 2020 rebel or for around 37k I can get a 1 owner 13 raptor with 60000 miles in clean shape.
mom almost leaning to the Raptor just for Value. They don’t seem to be losing a lot of value.
I live in the desert and I’m thinking the ford will be better in sandy...
Im looking at keeping the Mega cab and picking up ether a salvage 4runner or a Craigslist cheepo. Looking at older Cherokees too. Nothing pretty just mechanically sound. The family isn't to into the outdoor. My kid isnt into it and my wife has limited vacation time and I got a lot of time off...
Hey all I’m looking to get more into overlanding and less dual sport. Getting to old for the spills.
I have a 2014 mega cab 4x that’s stock and has done everything I needed up until now.
I’m thinking even if I start adding to this truck it’s just to big to really have fun with and I don’t want...
Hey all. I’m new to overlanding and looking forward to getting geared up right. I have a 2014 ram2500 4x and all I have right now is a set of Tule bed rack and my Smitty built tent. That tent is perfect.
ive got very limited Experience over landing and will be asking on another post what...
