Am ready for winter camping. The Aberdeenshire snow roads are the closest you'll to an artic tundra in UK, If your lucky you can get high wind events covering roads with drifts before the snow ploughs can clear them, lots of potential for extreme camping and having fun in 4x4.
Moyles Campsite is a good possibility, Note sure if its open. Will give the guy a call. He wanted 4 vehicles minimum before he was willing to switch on gas for shower on NY500.
Am really looking forward to this trip (NC500) in winter conditions, it's spectacular in summer but with Snow capped mountains it will be an awesome experience.
Thanks Kent,
Ave been in touch, will be joining the Crew for a weekend at the highest pub in Scotland. Allow us to get winter ready for a big winter trip North Coast of Scotland over the New Year
Cheers
David
