I'm headed out to work on the road and explore Oregon, Nevada, and California deserts. I'll be driving for long days, working some from the car and from the road where wifi allows, and seeking clear dark sky camping locations to set up telescopes in the evening.View Rally Point
@M Rose, no one responded that they could go and I was not sure I'd be at the meeting place at noon is I thought I'd better cancel just in case someone tried to meet up with me that didn't RSVP. It was my first rally point. Is there a better way to do it?
Also, I agree about the fuel. It should not be an issue for this trip I just want folks to think it over. I'll have 5 gallons is we need it so should be no problem.
I'm going to explore FR4636 between little Cultus Lake and Waldo Lake. What other sweet trails are in the area I should know about? Any great cascade lakes suggestions are welcome! Thanks
My first preference would be to have a longer drive on Monday. That said I'm planning to be super flexible and I'll be having fun regardless of where we stop.
I'm up for a conference call on Wed. Let me know what times you're thinking. I'm free between 8:30am-10am, and after 2pm until 5:30. I could also call in anytime after 6:30pm. Thanks for taking the lead on this trip fellas.

I'll have to duck out Thursday morning and head back to Portland for work. An earlier start on Monday would work best for me but I'll be good either way. Camping sounds like it will be dispersed since the campgrounds are likely to be closed. I agree in separate cooking and basic distancing.
Is anyone else bringing a dog? I have a medium size very friendly and submissive dog I'd like to bring. She loves other dogs and is very cautious around new people so she won't be a bother to anyone. We may have to stop to let her out from time to time though so if that's going to be a pain let...
Looking for a handheld radio for convoys and group trips. Just got my GMRS license and don't know what I'm doing yet. Is this a good unit for my first radio?
