Hi Bipolar Bear,
Thanks for your interest in the military camper. It came off a retired city truck. It's a heavy duty steel truck topper made by the Reading company. Heavy-Duty Truck Caps | Reading Truck
Cheers and let me know what you find..
If someone is interested in taking over and starting a new meetup, let me know!! It was fun to see folks every month and just chat about our adventures..
Hi Team.. the meetup location was just my preference. It had a large parking lot for our rigs, a banquet room, and was just off a main highway. I spoke with the owner at the time make sure he was cool with it.
Ok, yes this worked, but it took me a moment to find the 'People' button. I had to click the spyglass icon to reveal, which was unexpected. I thought the spyglass was used to just execute the search criteria entered, my mistake. My approach was from the top right drop-down 'Messages' link...
Hi Michael,
When performing a search in messaging section, I noticed some of the members are not showing up in the search results. Also, over the last few years I have directed folks to reach out to me on the OB app by looking up my OB ID. I realize now that I have not received very many...

Living in OR, when building it, I was thinking of the various technical trails I would encounter. I built this trailer with that in mind. 1. All metal body to feel safe from possible bear attacks and various weather elements 2. Low profile (no RTT) and offset rims to keep the tires in the wheel...
Hi Mike, thanks for reaching out. Yes, It's still in Oregon (in storage). I plan to camp in it at the Overland Expo on July 8. If I don't sell or trade it by July 13th, I will have to bring it to FL. It was built for West cost, so my hope is that it sells before I leave. I found some more photos...
Hello Team,
Yes, here we are with the team (me and Kevin are holding up the corners LOL). Lots of great discussion on navigation, what to do with the broken half of your wench rope (make a soft shackle in the field). HAM perp test app which one is the best.
Also, as promised here is the...
In coordination with the forest rangers (of course) we could start an adopt a trail program (if allowed) where we can post a small sign at the trail head stating something like: ‘This trail is maintained by the Portland Overland Bound team. Please report any issues using the OB1 app (insert QR...
Exactly Bjorne. The last point you noted ‘it takes a few steps’. It would be nice to click a ‘share with member’ button that opens the OB1 ‘Message’ box with the link already pasted in the body. One click. Then select the member and send.
Yes, when I click that button, a few outside apps appear, but no option to just DM a member within OB1. I just prefer to stay in the OB1 app. and not send folks to an outside app with the same DM / text feature as OB1 has. Hope this helps?
