how about holcolm valley in big bear? It's an easy fire road trail that a 2wd can go, but the drive to big bear is far for OC members.

There is a video on youtube showing a route from Applevalley to Fawskin. It looks like a mild trail and four wheel drive is an option. I might be doing this ride soon depending on my work schedule. It will be a daytrip and no overnight. Anyone done this route before?
