I used 3” spacers to clear the factory jeep wheels. If you used aftermarket wheels you could probably use 2.5”

Got my fridge slide and 12v outlet installed in the bed. I am probably going to get a bigger fridge now that I have more room than I did in the 4runner.

I am interested in going. The group I am part of just did a clean up in the Martha Sundquist State forest. It was a blast and we rode some great trails. Hurricane Creek and Buzzard Roost.

I have not had any issues with the trailer so far. I use the tent mostly with the trailer still hooked to the vehicle and have had no stability issues. I would recommend stabilizing the trailer for use unhooked. I have not had a problem but could see situations where I could. I have run Imogene...

I kept the original axle for now. Going to see how it does before changing it further.

Thanks! I still have more to do to it. I just drove to Oxford Al and back with no issues. I also ran 600-1 and 600-2 in the Talladega National Forest pulling the trailer. The tires are 30".

Emphasis is on cheap today! Repurposed an old tj wheel hub to make a spare tire mount.

I have added a battery set up, water tank and pump, and a diesel tent heater for cold weather camping. Its coming along nicely. My wife bought me a camp griddle for Christmas and as soon as I get a fridge I will make a slide out and covers for them.

I picked up a good condition used 4x6 utility trailer for $100 and turned it into a camping trailer to put my RTT on. Started with cutting off factory fenders, flipping the axle, and building the rack.

So I’m almost a year in and have made some progress. Stiil a ways to go. Ditched the running boards, VOR wheels and 33” M/T’s, 3” Old Man Emu/Bilstein lift, Victory rear bumper w/ tire carrier, and 3rd row delete!

Do you have room for 1 more rig? I am interested in going.

First step is to ditch the running boards and front valence!

The biggest problem is that the valve seats will come out and destroy the engine within a year of it is ever overheated. You can buy reman heads that have revised valve seats.

There is a special tool to hold the chain in place while you line everything up and also one for taking the lash adjusters out without taking out the cam shafts. Did you ever overheat at all when it started leaking coolant?
