Unless you add an external antenna turning up the power won't do much but heat up the "ducky" antenna On the uv5r. At least that's what I read on ham forums. On low power mode I've gone 4.4 miles, per my gps, and could still hear clearly.

Sorry, no pics on this phone. But I'm running my second WJ put 200K on the first. A 2004, 2.5" fat bobs lift with fox shocks. Projector headlights, not a fan of the look but they work well.

Sounds like a blast. I don't know that country at all but since it's a honeymoon I thought I'd mention something I learned on an early overland anniversary trip. My girl isn't so into being overly close after a few days on the trail. Baby wipe baths and no place to shaver her legs kinda killed...

I went with the fatbobs 2.5" springs. And fox shocks upgrade. I'm really happy with it. Still manageable to be my wife's daily driver.
