Well said - we're so looking forward to meeting up with people again once this Coronavirus madness and sadness is over (or at least manageable and safe for everyone). It'll be really nice to get out and about and start exploring and touring again.
Hi Richard,
I've been watching the build on FB - loving the look of the Red lady (those wheels and tyres look awesome). Bet you're looking forward to the first evening sitting by the campfire when you eventually crack that bottle of the "craitur" open for the first dram (all you'll need to...
Couldn't agree more with you - this site is one of the friendliest I've ever seen - we all seem to be in it for the love of our vehicles, the love of travel and exploring (either local or further afield) as well as connecting with like-minded souls. It just doesn't seem to matter what vehicle...
Some more Land Rover pictures attached - these were taken on a run to Wales. As a note of interest, a couple of them were taken above the Welsh town of Barmouth on a lane known as "Bomber's Lane" - it's named after the resting place of a USAAF B17 Flying Fortress that crashed on the hillside in...
Hi Richard,
Haven't seen the old "Red Lady" since we met up in Donegal in 2018 (I was part of the Landie Road Trip group). The build is looking amazing mate - looking forward to seeing the finished motor - will be following the build with interest.
Oh, have you managed to get Gregg's to open up...
Another one for the registry - old 1985 '90 with a 300tdi and LT77. Rebuilt in 2011 onto a galvanized chassis with D1 axles and disc brakes. It's my daily driver - I've owned it for 20 years and would never dream of parting with it, I'll keep running it as long as I can - it's taken us all over...
We were really lucky with good weather although it was quite cool at night so sleeping wasn't an issue for us - as I said, we were keen to try out this new roof tent and everything seems to be working well with it - roll on more (and longer) trips out. Would love to eventually have a converted...
Just managed a short trip away for a few days in Scotland after the COVID 19 restrictions have eased a bit. it was also a chance to try out a new roof tent that had been sitting unused after buying it in February just before everything closed down here. It's really good to start getting out and...
Hi from the UK,
Really nice Disco 3 - nice to see them out and about on the trail. Over here in the UK, they're more often regard as luxury SUV's (admittedly with a few enthusiast driven exceptions though :smirk:) and spend most of their time on the main road - what a waste... Good looking rig...
Love the article - loads of practical advice. I run a short wheelbase Land Rover so space is always at a premium. I use wolf boxes and have them organized according to need. I love the idea of repacking your clothes bag and basic foodstuffs box as soon as you get home so on Friday evening, you...
My 90's a work in progress too....all the time - it'll be lovely when it's finished
Oh, errr, please don't tell my better half about the hot tubs.....
Love the look of the carrier at the back of your jeep - I've just started planning one out for the back of my Land Rover along similar lines. You've put a lot of thought into yours by the looks of it and it's really paid off - looks fantastic
Looks awesome mate - really well turned out. Mines a C plate '90 too.
Like the look of the side exit exhaust, did you do that yourself?- I've got a 300tdi/LT77 transplanted into a galvanized TD5 chassis on my motor and fancy adding in a TD5 rear fuel tank to give me a greater travelling range -...
