I’m just having issues with the existing wiring, I have wiring charts but no experience on testing and troubleshooting. The brake lights and signal lights do not work at all and I’m not sure what to do to find the short or malfunction.
Those look really nice, are you building them for you or as a job? We are hoping to be able to camp in ours this summer if we can get the electrical figured out. Do you have much experience with automotive electrical? I think our interior is pretty decent the way its setup but we have to get the...
Inside is close to being ready for camping now.
New floor going in.
Here’s the bed folded out it has another cushion that covers the whole rear.
Cabinets starting to go back in, this one has the propane furnace, sink, holding tank, and closet.
I looked at the BLM land, mainly Smithsonian Butte but I will have a 7-10 hour drive before arriving at camp for the night. I like the idea of not having to pack up my roof top tent and annex just to drive 30 mins to the park for the day. Also the showers at Zion Outfitter are a factor since I...
Ill be there on the 25th and 26th I'm thinking of this month. Sites 58-63 look nice, its hard to tell from the map where you can drive to? 74 72 71 and 68 looks like they are back in the grass and wouldnt work with RTT setup?
Reading reviews it looks like theres a couple spots that have really nice views of the rocks and close to the river. It says some flood at times which I'm not concerned about with my RTT.
Heres a shot with the original interior. We are replacing the floor with laminate planks. Recovering the laminate with new where needed. Revamping the propane tank and lines for the Coleman furnace so we can use it in cold weather camping.
I will be updating as we get this ready for our overlanding adventures, we are working to revamp the interior. I have tested the Dometic fridge and power system and its still working great. We are adding solar polar with the Goal Zero Yeti 400 and some solar panels for off grid camping.
We...
Looking for a decent campground around this area which is the best spot? Taking family so no dispersed camping looking for a developed camp site with water.
Hoping to see the same, we have a tent that covers the whole roof and want to mount a solar panel somehow to our setup. Only space we have room is under the tent or hanging down the side of the car or above the hatch.
I'm leaning towards Renogy or Zamp. I've heard bad things of the off brand generic panels not lasting long so I want a quality one for our setup. I think the Renogy panels have enough happy users for me to get one over the Goal Zero or Zamp panels.
We found on our trip we never really used more that what the solar power would supply us. The 400W was perfect but we don't have a fridge yet. Once we move the setup to our VW Bus it will be another story. But I think the reserve capacity of the 400W would still sustain everything overnight. We...
